This is one of the easiest parts to replace on a Dyson. The exchange takes only 2 minutes. This is a Dyson Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) part. There were some other third party filters that were significantly cheaper but I trust the original as mine lasted 4 years. Odor. The previous filter lasted 5 years if washed every few months, but after use it started giving off a musty smell from the vacuum cleaner. The new filter does not smell.
