I love the look of them, I bought them for a reptile party and they were super cute but personally I feel too much paper when sipping my drink. They can last a long time in a cup before absorbing too much liquid, my kids didn't seem to mind. My taste buds are just more sensitive, so this may not be an issue for you. I can use them for a while, but then I have to change them. So for me it's just fine. If I were just rating the looks it would be 5 stars :-) They are also thin, a bit thinner than a standard sized straw. If you're familiar with the IKEA straws, they're a bit larger than the VERY thin ones, but I love them for some of the mugs we have (like Danny's "Ice Cream" kids mug they sold a while back, we have There are 4 of these and the IKEA straws were the only ones that fit in these cups, these bamboo straws DO NOT). handle with care. I ordered about 5 boxes and they were all the same. I just put them in a paper bag. I was about to switch to Ziploc but it seemed to be 'green' against target and I felt guilty! We have plenty left, so I keep some in a mason jar in the kitchen and my family takes them from there, keeping the extras in a bag.
