I am really impressed at how easy it was to assemble compared to some of the cheekier reviews. The instructions were very clear and reminded me not to tighten the screws until everything was in place. It's hard to miss! Assembly was *easy*. I was expecting a typical wrestling match with misaligned bolts and reaming holes, but it all fitted together easily and cleanly. Glory for that! The shelves came pre-installed with metal screw inserts so I didn't have to worry about stripping or splitting the boards. Although maybe I had too much bad luck with Sauder. ;) The only complaint I have is quite minor and that is that the stickers identifying the parts don't come off without a fight. If the manufacturer is listening, look for something with a slightly weaker adhesive strength. I bought two 5 tier shelves and don't expect to get rid of these smelly things. Overall, I would happily buy them again.
