Item fits my 1996 Fuji Marlboro folding bike project. I bought the bike for it's uniqueness and decided to throw away everything but the frame. The original headset had surface rust and the bearings were really rusty. Me used old handlebars and a hammer to knock an old headset out from inside the frame.I noticed that the dimensions are similar to the vintage headsets on my road bikes from the 70's.They were boxed when I received the product and oiled.The headset was installed with 2x4 to cushion the impact of the hammers on the new headset.I have not seen any damage from the way I installed the product.
