Replace Black Cartridge Error Message

I have replaced the black cartridge in my Xerox Phaser 6600 with this new black cartridge. The error message 'Replace black cartridge' keeps appearing and the printer does not work. I researched this issue online and it seems to be a common problem with this cartridge. To top it off, I've already exceeded the 30 day deadline to return the cartridges. Very frustrating and disappointing.
