The only issue with the product I had was that it comes with a "shoehorn" that allows you to insert the gasket into a groove on the block without damaging the gasket. Long story short, I watched a video that advised me to use the thicker of the two sides and fold it into a "V". When I did that I couldn't get the seal to go in the slot. Further investigation showed that I had to use the thin end. Once I used the thin end it went pretty smoothly. It has now been installed for almost two months with no leaks. While I removed the oil pan, I also cleaned the dirt from the pan and replaced the oil pan gasket.
