Review on Silicone Chocolate Melting Pot Set of 3 - Microwave Chocolate Melter for Butter, Cheese, Candy, Sauce, Caramel, and Molds by Jacqueline Garrabrant

I bought these silicone pans to melt small amounts of chocolate in the microwave for decorating cakes (as opposed to using a double boiler). I was surprised how thin the pot silicone is while the lid is quite sturdy, so tight that it makes the pot a little unstable. Another thing is that the pans heat up before the chocolate is completely melted, so you have to be careful when removing them from the microwave. And the last. I would like to add that it is pretty easy to clean. You simply wait for the unused chocolate to cool and set, and you can crush the pot to soften the chocolate and tip it over to use later. Then it's just a quick hand wash (I wouldn't recommend washing them in the dishwasher, it changes the nature of the silicone). If the silicone were a bit thicker and it was more stable with the lid, I would give more stars.
