Review on TYR Sport Square Short Black by Jim Escobedo

Update: Well I've had this suit for 6 months now and it's been used at the local YMCA pool exactly once a week for exactly 90 minutes. I counted swimming sessions (27), so the total usage time is 40.5 hours. That's a far cry from the 250 hours advertised on the box. It's the only place it's ever been used and it's dying. The stitching on the seat has almost frayed and become translucent, so much so that I'm concerned it might tear during use. I started carrying a spare bathing suit just in case. Luckily, I play on the men's underwater hockey team, so if something's wrong with my wardrobe, it's not a big deal. Judging by the location and type of clothing, it's a design flaw; in the place of increased wear there is a seam (exactly in the middle of the buttock gap); The seam then rubs against the adjacent suit material with each kick, chafing it out. I only do it once a month with Dr. Bronner (inert, pH neutral, no harsh ingredients) hand washed, but I rinse thoroughly without wringing until the chlorine smell is gone and dry immediately by keeping a towel rail away from sunlight after use.
