I really like this aquarium. I bought this as a terrarium for my praying mantis when she was a nymph. That works great. I turn my battery powered LEDs on for 2-3 hours every night and then turn them off so the Duracell batteries I used lasted 47 days. My cat is fascinated and scratches it from time to time - the plastic is durable and doesn't scratch like other acrylic basins. When it was empty my cat ran around the room too and crashed into it - no dents or anything. I LOVE this aquarium because I didn't expect my cat to be so rough on it. I had a photo but it got lost in my broken phone otherwise I would have posted it. Now that my praying mantis has outgrown it, I like to use it for the rooster.
