The Razer Sphex V2 Mini is a flexible, non-rigid piece of thin plastic with an adhesive backing to attach it to a surface. This product is completely useless for anything I intended to use it for. While the strip of fabric can be cut and then (carefully) peeled off, the adhesive used leaves a significant amount of adhesive on the back of the mouse pad that I was unable to remove. The only solution is to cut off that part of the mouse pad, but at this point I decided to take the easier route and just toss this thing in the trash where it belongs.
