* I don't often write reviews I read all the reviews at Revain, Walmart and Homedepot and they hit or miss. Everyone was happy or their stuff. So I hesitated to buy it. My wife recently rented a large store that needed a lot of help. I spoke to a previous renter who moved down 4 stores. He said they haven't completed the VCT floors since he's been in business and he has a 7 year lease. It used to be a discount supermarket for cigarettes and dollars. HEAVY foot traffic, with deep stains and dirt. I ordered a car and a set of pads last week and they arrived last night. While I'm not ready to tackle the floors until next weekend, I can't wait to start playing with the new toys. I took it to the store last night, unwrapped it, wiped it down with a brown dish sponge and checked a few of the most awkward spots. Again, this floor hasn't been renovated in 7 years and judging by the condition of the old tenants' new shop, it probably hasn't been cleaned either. I used some Spic an Span powder with bleach in hot water and made a few areas about 4ft by 4ft just to test. This car drives great! For anyone saying the pad doesn't hold up, make sure the tabs line up between the motor head and the baseplate. Turn on the machine and gently guide the handle to allow the buffer to do all the work, rocking it from side to side at the machine's own pace. Working side to side, I overlapped each pass, then rotated 90 degrees and patched again. I washed it with hot water and, GOD, FUCK! I thought we would have to replace this floor. I took before and after photos of my spot treatments which I will add later. I will add photos and update my review after I strip and polish the remaining 3,000 square feet. Once my main floor is finished I will go down to the basement with a hard nozzle and clean the concrete before painting the floors. This is another sad looking area I have high hopes for. This unit is small it will take a little time to finish my areas but I can take the floors down and then polish as many times as I want, whenever I want without having to go to a home storage facility Worth car hire.
