Good product overall. I can change it to make it better. The fabric behind the buckle to protect the boat from the buckle would be better if it was a bit wider. A narrow velcro to hold the extra wide strap and keep the buckle in place, would be better if the velcro at the ends of this narrow strap were longer. I was not able to get this velcro as tight as I would like as the velcro is very short and does not allow enough flexibility in positioning. It's good enough that I didn't bring it back, but these design changes would make it better. I'll probably change it accordingly, but I get frustrated when I have to change completely new things because my design understanding is better than the vendor's. I have no idea if the competitors' products will be any different. My original OEM straps that came with the boat were better in both respects.
