Excellent product and value for money. Captured from Kansas City where I got on the boat to New Mexico where I live. I never had to retighten them while I had to stop several times to retighten the regular ratchet straps I bought.

Bought these for my son who just bought a new used boat. It came with a regular 16ft weight belt that didn't really do the right job. He said these straps are great and hold the boat securely to the trailer. They are easy to tighten and quick to loosen.

These straps are bad in almost every way. They don't tighten/clamp very easily, they don't stay taut after clamping, and they're uncomfortable to open. To make matters worse, mine are showing signs of wear after just two months of use. Honestly, you'd be much better off with a set of decent ratchet straps.

I have just received these attachment straps and was disappointed that the velcro on one of them was loose and not fully sewn to the strap. Almost the entire thread hung. Not sure how long these grips will last if that is any indication of the quality of the design. Now I'm faced with the question of either sending them back (a lot of hassle) or taking them to someone who can sew them properly. I will update with a follow up when the issue is resolved.

Great deal for the price. Time will tell how long they last but they appear to be made of good materials. Happy with this purchase. Note. The distance between the connection points of my trailer and my boat is 16.5 inches. These straps just fit. If the distance was less, they wouldn't work. Even at 16.5 inches, I have to fiddle with them to close them. A heavy stitch gets into the buckle and will not allow it to close normally. So if your distance is less than 16.5 I wouldn't take them.

I have to say I was a little apprehensive at first seeing how easy it was once we unpacked the straps. But last week we were on the boat and it was the perfect time to try them on, we went back to the ramp and when it came time to tie them to the trailer we moved on and it was so easy we did it couldn't believe this is a simple buckle that once the strap is in place and we fold the buckle over is very tight and secure. For $20 this is a good set of basic mirror straps. There's nothing unusual about them, but they work. The hooks are just over 1/4 inch diameter rods which is perfect for me. 48 inches total would have been too much for me, so I planned to trim and melt the excess. Turns out they put a loop in the loose end and I was able to get to a good spot to hang it on something somehow. It looks like it was ordered for my application. Good product overall. I can change it to make it better. The fabric behind the buckle to protect the boat from the buckle would be better if it was a bit wider. A narrow velcro to hold the extra wide strap and keep the buckle in place, would be better if the velcro at the ends of this narrow strap were longer. I was not able to get this velcro as tight as I would like as the velcro is very short and does not allow enough flexibility in positioning. It's good enough that I didn't bring it back…
