My Xbox One Elite (1st Gen) controller had a stick misalignment on the right joystick. I tried cleaning the sensor but the problem persists. So I decided to replace the joystick. Before unsoldering everything I tried just taking the sensor off one of them and replacing the old sensor with it. Worked beautifully. No more looking at the sky while playing Skyrim or CoD.
