I've carefully examined the new range hood for our kitchen. We have a ductless hood, so we needed a ductless hood or a convertible hood like this. The other big feature we wanted was the hood, which doesn't have an open space that reveals the fan and all other internal mechanical parts of the hood. This cooker hood is fitted with steel mesh grease filters that fit snugly to the underside of the cooker hood, concealing everything and giving the unit a clean, professional look, even when standing under the hood. We have also purchased the necessary activated carbon filters needed to use this range hood. The activated carbon filters are attached to the top of the grease filters so that they do not spoil the look. The wiring is also very simple. This hood only requires the 3 standard wires that you connect to your house wiring. Black, white and green for the earth. It also comes with the screws needed to mount the unit under a cabinet. We have 12" cabinets and they fit like a glove. Our cabinets have a recessed bottom so we had to add wood spacers to the bottom of the cabinet before installing the hood. The pre-installed lights are bright enough and the fan is also at high RPM very quiet For these reasons we are very satisfied with this hood and will buy it again.
