Feels like your scratching a chalk board

I'm not sure what people expect when using this item or if it's supposed to feel like this, but when I opened both boxes and tried to file my nails, it literally made my teeth grind. It felt like I was scratching a chalk board, and the sound wasn't any better. I was expecting it to look like crystals, in the sense that the texture would be grainy and file my nails down. However, it was smooth all around with no other texture to actually correct your nail. I tried a few more times just to see if I needed to break it in, but I kept getting the same feeling. I stopped using both and it just ended up being a waste of money.

Pros
