They are weaker than expected. I have no way to measure strength but they don't seem strong like N52. However they are strong enough that I don't want the hassle to send back.If I were to buy more I'd buy larger ones.The finish on them looked nice and arrived well packaged and in damaged. I can't test the strength in an accurate way so I may be mistaken.However if you want to hold anything like a hammer to the side of a metal tool box one is NOT enough even for a regular wood handled hammer. If you want this to hold a few sheets of paper on a metal wall it will work fine. It may be strong enough to hold a keyring with a couple keys on also.Don't expect one alone to hold anything weighing a few oz. I would say by themselves they are light-medium duty. Using all of them maybe medium duty.If you want impressive hold strength for securely holding calenders to the wall or plastic sheeting on metal surfaces get 1" N52 magnets.
