This item installs like royalty if you have a dispenser and a deep sink. It took me "only" over 3 hours. And I'm a very good handyman. Fair warning here - check out the installation guide on YouTube for this particular model. Instructions are not for one with UV light. UV light guidance is something else entirely. I had to deal with most of this part. Wiring diagram not for UV light kit. The hose where the water enters the system broke from slight pressure. This must be a common problem as they still had 2 of those spikes. The plastic used for the stick is very brittle, I know that, I work with plastic professionally. The reason it broke is because the metal frame just above it is sticking out too much and not allowing the bar to be fully screwed in. , but then it hits the frame. This was probably the cause of his fatigue fracture. I had to bend the frame away from the fitting to fit a new one. If it weren't done in such a limited space as under my sink, it could be done in an hour. . The manufacturer thing is cool, but the instructions suck. This UV case throws everything out of your hands as the instructions are NOT for that. Well, now he's building up the pressure. In an hour I'll see if the water is flowing with at least a decent pressure. I just tested the water. I used a TC tester that I borrowed from my son. After 1st batch reset, normal tap water shows 38-40. Filtered water shows 003-004. I think it's good. An unpleasant surprise. The water in the tub lasts only 5 minutes. We cook a lot, so using filtered water for cooking will definitely be limited. In 3 weeks. There was enough water to boil. I had to turn off the UV light. Heats the water too much. It creates ozone bubbles in it. But worse, it gives the water an unpleasant metallic taste. The woman refused to drink UV water and said she did not want to drink radioactive water. Today turned off and all problems are gone. The water has a pleasant taste and a cool running water temperature. Wasted $$ paying extra for this UV blocker.
