When I bought my Intel NUC a few years ago, I installed a 256GB mSATA drive. I guess I knew it wouldn't be enough in the long run, but that's what I was willing to spend at the time. I got to the point where I wanted to double that size, but what's the most efficient way to move everything to a new, larger drive? This adapter was the perfect solution. It was very easy to insert a new drive and connect it to my computer via USB, then clone the old drive to the new one, extend the partition on the new drive to use all the space, and then swap the drives against one Replacing a larger capacity drive . in the computer and the old one in the adapter. If I had to do it again, I wouldn't change a thing. That's a good value. If I needed something long term I might have looked for something more permanent but this was perfect for my needs.
