I ordered this product specifically for olive oil. I wanted to be able to spray on a nice thin layer of olive oil while cooking. This will spray a nice thin layer of water or other thin liquid, but no olive oil. Pour this heavy oil in and it comes out in a shower, if you really work at it you can get it to mist up with a button or two, but it takes a lot of effort if you're trying to cook. The upper thread is also tightened, but has come loose several times during use. I tried, like my sister-in-law, to find a cheap way to save $40 on a name brand sprayer and failed miserably. I spend 40 dollars!
