I am 60 years old and have had many blankets in my life. but this is the highest quality blanket I have ever owned and seen! It is not a cheap product like most of the things that we buy from the stores around us on a daily basis. There are no shops nearby that sell these handmade blankets! Cold nights and warm bed; I have slept with an electric mattress topper to stay warm at night for 20 years as I only weigh 124 pounds. I had no fat to insulate at night when my body temperature was at its lowest. I had to buy and use an electrically heated mattress pad because there were no blankets to hold what little heat my body generates to keep me warm. Now, for the first time in 20 years, I can sleep on those cold nights without these electrical devices and only with blankets! As for the smell, when I opened the box my Doberman was lying on my blanket, even in his own. thick plastic case with zipper! She loved this smell, since it was pure animal hair, she wanted more and she wondered what it was all about! I had to push her away so I could keep unrolling my beautiful blanket. I took it and spread it on my bed and the smell was strong. but not uncomfortable at all. after the first 24 hours the smell has decreased significantly, and now. I just love this light scent and want it to never go away! It's only been 4 nights and it's sooooo cozy and warm and the smell reassures me that I'm awake surrounded by synthetic toxic material! Price; The cost may seem a bit high to some people. but it's really that cheap and worth it A third of our lives we spend sleeping in our beds, at 60 I've been in my bed for 20 years, shouldn't I spend what is necessary to improve this precious thing? Time? The answer is obvious. Don't waste any more time shopping and never hesitate to pay what they ask for this comforter because you will end up glad you paid that money for a great product that we can't get. See or even get your hands on more these days! I would 100% recommend this duvet.
