Medium brush #6 is my favorite. I have a collection of five medium Koi watercolor brushes that I paint with when I travel around Denver. Water seems to flow best with a size 6 brush. I like to paint watercolor and gouache with this brush on watercolor paper, clay plates and waterboards. I've tried small and large koi water brushes - the small brush squirts out too much water too quickly and is difficult to use. The large brush doesn't seem to get the water to flow at all, and if I press too hard it sometimes splatters and drowns out the image I'm working on. If you want a durable and easy-to-use water brush with a constant flow of water, I recommend the #6 Medium Koi Brush. I tried a different brand of water brush once, but it wasn't the same. Go with Koi if you want to try watercolor and gouache along the way.
