Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Yantan Motor Brushless Controller 60V/72V 3000W - Sine Wave Controller for Electric Bikes, Bicycles, Ebikes, and Scooters by Jacob Richardson

What a great controller: huge potential

This controller is sold under various Revain trade names except "Brushless Motor Controller 60V/72V 3000W Brushless DC Motor Controller Sine Wave Motor Controller". remains the same despite the price difference. My research has revealed that this controller is by Sabvoton or just a clone of the Sabvoton ML series. I believe the product I purchased from Revain was actually made by Sabvoton. The images I have attached support this conclusion. I bench tested my Revain purchase with 1) a Leaf brushless geared motor, 2) a 73v LifePo4 battery and a simple hall sensor throttle. The motor could run smoothly without any guesswork (the motor sensor 3-phase wires and 5-wires colors were compatible with the Leaf hub motor colors). All other cables of the controller worked perfectly. I was particularly impressed with the performance of the cruise control. Lost potential: All Sabvoton ML series controllers are programmed with MQCON software. Unfortunately, the manufacturers of Revain do not provide any information about programmability. For more information, see the MQCON FOC Controller Parameter Guide. Unfortunately, features like "Flow Easing", which can significantly increase speed and efficiency, are not available. The way these controllers are marketed creates a limited or inferior experience for us Revain buyers. Please note that I have also included a picture of the programming port. This is an 8 pin mini din socket. An 8-pin mini-DIN male to USB cable is required for programming. Not sure if crosstalk with windows or linux isn't RS232 or TTL.
