A few tips for retrofitting this shelf to other tables

Some dimensions for those of you planning to install this on tables from other manufacturers: The shelf is 25 inches wide and 14.5 inches deep. The sliders extend 11.5 inches. The top surface of the shelf is 2.75 inches from the mounting surface (the bottom of your desk) - my Kensington Expert Mouse trackball has a hard time going under the desk. The overall height including brackets is just under 3.5 inches. For installation: fasteners are included in the kit (8 self-tapping screws and a plastic clip for the cable). You will need a Phillips screwdriver and a drill. I used a 3/32" drill bit for the mounting holes. The mounting brackets are made of steel. The front holes of the brackets are 2" from the front edge of the shelf and the rear holes are 8-13/16" back (i.e. 10-13/16" from the front edge). 24" holes from left bracket to right Bracket. These holes are cut left to right which gives some wiggle room for customization. I would definitely double check these dimensions as there may be some variation in the mounts used. I marked the underside of the table with a pencil, tape measure and set square. I lined up the drawer so the front edge of the shelf was about an inch behind the front edge of the table. . The glides are fairly smooth but not smooth on roller bearings. The keyboard has an easy latch when fully extended, but releasing the latch is a little bumpy. In my opinion it's a bit expensive for what you get for $39, but in the end it was easy to install and does the job.Update (12/28/2018): I liked this drawer so much that I made a second one Bought for another table some time ago. Improved drawer latch release when used on both drawers. Was very happy with this setup.
