Review on Noctua NH-D15S Dual-Tower CPU Cooler with NF-A15 PWM Fan - Premium Brown Edition by Somsak Boonsri ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The right product for me, there were no problems.

For the i7-9700k processor, what the doctor ordered. I lowered the voltage, because it is too high by default, it's useless, it only heats up more and eats electricity. CPU core - 1.252 V (maybe I will still reduce) VCCIO - 1.232V VCCSA - 120226 V 4800 MHz keeps stable on all cores, in the AIDA stress test the temperature is not higher than 75 degrees. Fans spin 1000-1200 rpm. The maximum power dissipation (TDP) was seen in the region of 130-140 watts. The same picture when encoding video. In games, I have not seen more than 65 degrees, the fan (both) turns no more than 600 rpm. At idle 330 rpm. native and 600 rpm. second fan and silence. I'm not sure if a second fan is needed, but I had one, so I installed it.

Pros
  • Noctua NH-D15S The maximum power dissipation is 140 W and this is true, more on that below in the comments. I especially note the asymmetric arrangement of the tubes, see photo. This increases the gap between the cooler heatsink and the video card, which in turn contributes to better cooling. Quiet, it becomes audible at revolutions ~ 1000+. In the BIOS settings, I set such speed at temperatures from 70 degrees. Additional brackets for installing a second fan, if desired. I wanted, I delivered. There is no lgbt highlighting.
Cons
  • It is inconvenient to install and remove the fan. There is an idea to make a special hook for removal, if I do, I will attach a photo.
