I needed an adapter for my NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 graphics card. This worked great with a small problem with the miniport connector. I've found this to happen with different types of adapters: There isn't enough space in the port between the card and the case to insert the adapter. If you're comfortable cutting off the side of this adapter that goes into the miniport and touches the case, that's an easy fix. Cut off the excess on one side of this adapter. This resolves the issue and does not affect adapter performance. This may not be an issue in all cases, but for me it was.
