The shank on the module is about 15,000 larger than the hole on the handle, so gradually cut the rod from all sides ( it is a hexagon) and keep trying to match it until you find a match. Then replace the T20 screw (torx head) and add the cap. This button is amazing, it makes shifting smoother, you'll notice it right away. A bit of hassle with installing if you can't figure it out. But you're not an idiot, you'll understand that.
