I had to get creative with the installation of my dishwasher because I can't remove the dishwasher, but the dishwasher is mounted on 2 x 4 standoffs so I could put my arm through the bottom and my arm through the side Bottom. I didn't have to replace the pulley, just the cord and clip. First I had to attach the spring to the back, and then attach the end of the new string to that spring, pull the spring to the pulley with the string, thread and click. Not the way to do it, but it worked. It took an extra bungee cord to hook the spring and pull to give an extra "kickback" while I attached the clamp to the dishwasher door. Then I removed the bungie cord and applauded, done! I was offered $278 to have a professional do it. Good that this mother could understand that!
