The screws keep loosening and falling out
At first we were very happy with these stools due to their construction, but after a few months the screws started to loosen and we felt unsafe to sit on. Some screws actually fell out and posed a potential hazard (I almost stepped on them!). And even after the screws are tightened, the stools feel stony and flimsy. The density of the wood doesn't seem strong enough to support what most would consider a normal adult weight... (I'm 167lbs and my wife is 116 - I'm pretty sure we're not tall) Nice chairs anyway but they need maintenance and I don't think they will last long.
