Average to excellent overall quality but there was one defect. The replacement cover was too small, the elastic hem was not sewn on properly, and the elastic was missing about 1/3 of the hem. UPDATE: I was sent a replacement and it fits perfectly. The original is pretty good. The lid has a terry texture that catches dirt but lacks a soft lining, although as advertised it can be flipped over for a clean finish. The top plastic panel is not very flexible and may not work properly on highly curved windshields. Jeep Grand Cherokee works perfectly. A little extra pressure should adjust it to the smaller radius of smaller windshields. However, it seems that it takes some effort to make the outline of a smaller arch out of it. The overall construction is very good, with a good heavy hinge in mind. . The head and all parts, except for the handle, are made of durable plastic. The aluminum handle is a plus and the pull lock works very well and locks securely. The soft foam grip offers a good grip with wet or gloved hands, which is a plus. I voted positively because the defective second cap was replaced to my complete satisfaction. The company endorses its product. recommended
