Review on 🌑️ Finnex Electronic Heater Temperature Controller by Aleska Allen

UPDATE: Fixes heater thermostat quality issues but fails after 18 months.

I needed to fix an Italian made immersion glass heater that I bought at a large pet store. Initially the temperature was 4 degrees Fahrenheit higher than the settings, and a few weeks later when I bought this controller the temperature changed 10 degrees before I manually modulated it (plugged in/unplugged). The water temperature remains constant within 0-1 degrees Fahrenheit. The reading on the dial is about 2 degrees lower than my thermometer reading, but it's easy to deal with. This setting will work as long as your heater is producing full heat at one of its reasonable settings. If one day my heater stops heating altogether, having this controller working gives me peace of mind that the backup heater won't be able to overheat the tank. a way to disconnect the probe (e.g. a quick connect) to make servicing the tank easier while keeping it safe. (The detachable temperature probe fits my wall-mounted electric oven.) Built-in heater thermostat keeps fish from cooking. If your thermostat is not working properly but turns on, this device can replace that function. Update December 2015 This device failed twice after 1.25 and 1.5 years of use. So this durability is not great, which affects reliability. Well if you plan on replacing it in a year. Both times it didn't work because it didn't provide heat (no power) instead of boiling in the tank. I replaced it with an AZOO digital temperature microcontroller which is not available in Revain. This is an inexpensive controller and I bought it from another store run by a couple of vets. It's been working fine for a month now.
