Due to my work schedule I have to start running at 4:45 am. It doesn't really matter in July when twilight hits around 5am, but now that it's getting late this year my runs are over before the sun rises over the horizon. I wanted the light to help me see the path ahead, and also for safety reasons, to help others see me. And just this morning the overcast sky hid any light from the moon or the stars, so it was a dark morning to run. I love how it feels on my head. I wear a headband when I run and it comes off easily and doesn't cause any slipping. And when I run, I don't feel any rebound. Aside from the fact that it gives off a nice light in front of me, it's very easy to forget it's there. I charged it fully when I received it (although it said almost a full charge when it arrived). I use it for six to seven hour-long runs before having to charge it again. A full charge from empty to full takes less than 2 hours. It produces a good amount of light. I walk in some open areas and I usually keep my head up so I 'light' the path ahead and look for the glow in some wildlife's eyes. On a run, this helped me spot a pair of glowing eyes about 15 yards ahead. At 10 yards I realized it was a skunk and had enough time to avoid it. This alone was worth the price of the product.
