Review on Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer: Enhanced Fitness Tracking with Health Management Software by Arunprasath Corso

I am writing this review in response to bad reviews as well as my own glowing review. As for customer service issues, I haven't had any. As with other companies, I have opted for a 'last chance' strategy, which may or may not work with Omron. I find the name of the North American CEO or International CEO (or President) and write a letter (yes, Virginia, by mail) outlining my difficulties and problems with their product and promising a great or bad rating. their product on every possible website starting three weeks after the date of my email. Although I rarely had to go this route, I have had very good results. These devices have worked extremely well for us. I ordered two of these in September 2011, one for me and one for my husband. I later ordered one for my daughter. As I expected, they only use theirs occasionally while I use mine almost every day (unless I forget to pick them up). This pedometer is great. ONE BIG DEAL: Washing your pedometer can easily save it. I know this because I can have the cleanest pedometer. When washing your HJ-720, remove the battery and place the device in a container of dry rice covering the pedometer. Leave for twenty-four hours. Replace the battery (try the old one first, it will probably work). Presto, you're back to your working pedometer. I've done this to mine at least four times. I really like the watch function as I use the device as both a watch and a pedometer. The various readings are a bit exaggerated for me since I rarely do aerobic exercise on a typical day, but I'd like to know if this happens. Be sure to measure your stride length accurately for accurate data. The readings on the top row are fairly clear, while those on the bottom row are small. If I'm going on a trip that involves a lot of walking, I particularly enjoy seeing distances over several days. Disney World will really enhance your reading! I ordered some extra straps to attach the pedometer but I don't know if it was necessary. I just didn't want to lose such an expensive pedometer. Although I don't seem to mind the occasional exposure to water and detergents. There are several ways to download the software; I use Omron. My husband chose another one but didn't really like it. Update February 2016: It's still running!
