Review on πŸ”Œ 4-Port HDMI KVM Switch 4K@60Hz with USB 2.0 Hubs, Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Support, Hotkey Switching, No Power Required by Gary Generale

Revainrating 4 out of 5

An excellent compact KVM, with a few minor remarks.

I recently purchased this KVM for my home lab/network closet. It is connected to an NVR and some servers. For now this has proven to be ideal for my use case and has many benefits, but I have a few minor issues that should be fixed in a future release. PROS1. Very solid build quality for the price; Case and I/O ports feel solid.2. Compact size for 4-port KVM.3. USB powered so no power supply required, reducing cables and providing more mounting/placement options.4. Compatible with wireless keyboard and mouse, and built-in USB hub for flash drives, etc.5. There are no problems with DVI-HDMI adapters for input or output. CONS1. The button to toggle between inputs doesn't seem as important as the rest of the device.2. The device always returns to input 1 when you turn the device off and on again.3. The included USB cables are short and feel a little flimsy/cheap. Depending on your cable runs, you can or should use your own.4. HDMI cables are not included, so plan on using your own. Despite this, this more expensive device is sold cheaply because they skimp on the cables in the box. A few functional notes are the only thing keeping me from getting a 5 star rating. That being said, I have no regrets choosing this KVM for my project!
