This was installed on my Scooby when I bought it. My mechanic laughed when we ran the code scanner and it came up with a "Bad Coolant Sensor" code. Complete check of the cooling system, no problem. EXCEPT. He saw this thing and asked what it was and I told him I didn't know. Removed, restarted computer and everything was fine. Getting the computer to think of "higher" engine temperatures, which slows down synchronization, was his thought. Not good. threw it away Through 8000 miles and NO problems. Runs better without and the code is gone My car was no different with or without except for the fault code.
