UPDATED Rating - Cable Matters backs their products! They sent me a new adapter and it worked without any problems! Tested on multiple Macs and PCs. Everything worked without any problems. First check - I tried connecting the device to three different Macs, none of them showed the device in the list of audio components. .I have another USB audio I/O cable that I have used in the past. When using this cable, all I have to do is plug it into a USB port. As soon as the cable is plugged into the USB port, the device immediately appears in the list of audio components.
