Review on Utilitech 120 Volt 1 Outlet 14 Gauge Extension by Nate Nelson

I originally used this to charge my Chevy Volt EV, 12V@12A, which was soon upgraded to 240@12A with an adapter to facilitate charging to speed up since the extra current isn't usually a voltage issue (to the point). I just bought a 240V 16A charger and before buying a new cable I just wanted to test this one. Surprisingly, even after 4+ hours at 16A, the cord is only slightly warmer than I've seen with a blower or electric mower. You may need extra insulation if you need something really heavy (this cable is only exposed to the New England elements, but no abrasion, etc.).
