I bought it to sharpen knives for my wife's typewriter. I could tell right away there was a problem. The stone wasn't flat. There was a big gap in the middle. I had to finish (smooth) the stone before I could use it. Luckily I had a diamond block that lined it up nicely. It also doesn't have a unified feel. Some areas of the stone appear softer than others. This goes to the kids to sharpen pocket knives. Luckily it was cheap. Rather spend a little more and buy Chosera or Cerax.
