I've had a similarly good computer chair for the last ten years and it started to wobble. Unfortunately, the complete base was riveted/pressed in such a way that it could not be taken apart, so the entire base had to be replaced. It more or less helped and saved my old chair. I wish there was a silver option (my chair has metal accents and the old base was solid metal) but it works well. Don't pay for assembly. The block comes flat but snaps into place without tools. The only thing you need a tool for is screwing the base to the chair.
