Very good design. The light can vary from very bright to dim. At first I thought it would be nice to have an average between the highs and lows, but as I thought about it more I came to the conclusion that the average was rarely needed and that would add an extra step. to switch between high and low levels. The high goes pretty high compared to my other indoor lights, haven't bothered to test it outdoors yet. The tint is pleasant, not bluish like some cheap lamps. Low values are good for reading or other nearby tasks, high values are good for further viewing. The red light, for those who don't know, is designed to let you see without interfering with your night vision and is bright enough for things like working up close or navigating the warehouse. The red tail light is a welcome addition that has rarely been seen on headlights before. I'm into hats and helmets and wouldn't mind seeing a longer headband, especially useful when wearing this light over a baseball cap or whatever. another light headgear, although I say the same for other headlights, so it's no knock for this light. All in all, for the price I paid at the time of the lightning deal and the price it was showing at the time of writing this review, this is a steal. In some places they charge that much money just for a tote bag, which by the way is very practical and beautifully finished. Only time will tell its durability. And I love that it includes two batteries for capacity but can only use one battery in a pinch if needed. By the way, there is this warning in the instructions, but it is not clear, do not try to increase the working time of this flashlight. If you see the batteries are getting low, charge them instead of trying to get the last bit of light out of them. Lithium-ion batteries can be damaged or destroyed if they are completely discharged. Do not leave the flashlight unattended while charging. And unplug the charger after charging is complete, do not leave it plugged in.
