Review on πŸ”’ Master Lock Python Cable Lock 8418D - 1 Pack, 6 Feet x 5/16 Inch, Black by John Banks

Good locking cable just don't expect too much from it

This won't stop a determined thief who on average carries a decent sized bolt cutter. An ordinary knife can't cope with this, neither can ordinary wire cutters. However, I would not park a bicycle or motorbike somewhere and be out and about all day. I also wouldn't want to try to secure something worth thousands of dollars with a twelve dollar lock. However, it will likely turn off ordinary adventurers. In our case, if I want to fill up a can of lawnmower fuel at home, I don't want to be forced to make the last stop on business trips or put the filled can in the cab (which is actually not safe). everyone), and with that I can attach the can to one of the D-rings on the back of our pickup. We also sometimes have a metal divider in the back to make shopping easier - well, I like to lock it too so I don't have to worry about it while we shop at Home Depot or Costco. Again, this won't stop a determined, prepared thief - heck, a locked car door won't even stop that - but it will generally deter crooks and rascals who might think they can just grab and run. It's its adjustability and the fact that you can run the cable through almost anything that has a hole. The problem with these reversible loop cables is often that the loop is too big to fit. On the other hand, this cable is probably less secure than one of those larger double loop cables, especially when paired with a secure padlock. But for everyday use and easy locking and unlocking, this locking cable is quite good. The keys are a bit flimsy, so I suggest making sure they're fully inserted in the lock before trying to turn them; If there is resistance, it's probably not complete. I think another reviewer noted that the WD-40 or oil on the cable causes it to lose grip, so I plan to be careful with that as well. better than nothing.
