For basic protection of a car parked inside, this car coating is second to none. But if you want more weather protection or want to park your car outside, you need something else. This is the second Budge car cover I've used and I'm happy with both. I used size 4 on a 5th gen Camaro which fits very well and now I have size 3 on a Corvette Stingray C7. Size 3 fits the Corvette very well, fully covering the front including the choke and the rear including the rear fairings and exhaust tips. Obviously it's not a custom fit, so it's loose on the sides, especially over the mirrors. However, the elastic bottom keeps it securely in place and I didn't have to tie it. The material is soft, so I don't worry about the case scratching the car during installation. The case is very thin and light. As a result, I didn't expect it to hold up at all when used outside. It's not weatherproof or even waterproof, and being a bit loose I don't think it will stay in place in the wind. If you need to park your car outside, this is not the case. For indoor storage (I keep my car in a garage) this works fine. I would have preferred it to be water resistant, but it does a good job of keeping out dust and dirt.
