2003 Ford Econoline E-150 4.6 LG 49 Version hole. The lid will click once after you turn it 1/8 turn. Replacement was easy: attach cord to old gas cap, remove sleeve from bar. It was soft old plastic and I used various pliers and scissors until I could get it out of the hole. It did not last long. I put a new bushing in the hole, the gas cap is now tied. Exact replacement cover approx. 16 years. I spent more time cleaning the mold from the entire area behind the gas door (including the back of the door) with a toothbrush and soap than replacing the gas cap. (Wang lives in a swampy area.)
