Review on Comfortable And Supportive Running Shoes For Men With Wide Toe Box - BRONAX Road Running Shoes by Ryan Olsen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Super Pleased to find these shoes

I would compare the fit to Altra shoes which cost 3-4 times as much. Worn for 5-6 weeks now with plenty of walking and standing. No signs of coming apart so far. I believe in wearing shoes that are more neutral (flat). So these have a very mild heel drop (slant from heel to toe area). I have a morton's neuromy (bones near ball of foot squeeze a nerve when toe area is too narrow) and these are plenty wide enough in the toe box for toes to naturally spread out. My Dr. gave me two separate cortizone shots and sent me to Fleet Feet store to get some very nice running shoes. It never fixed the pain. I figured it out by looking into a FB group and found that wide toe box shoes are most likely the solution. And it was! Soft sole is also important for me. Too much heel drop and you put too much pressure on the toes. But I still use my Altra road running shoes when running on the pavement because they do have a softer sole for the pounding pavement. But I think most folks without ball of foot inflammation will like these Bronax just fine for running. I have experienced Altra, Brooks and Mizuno and can still recommend these shoes. Very pleased with these and already have a second pair in my closet ready to go.

Pros
  • Super wide toe box, they actually fit my feet right away. No uncomfortable break in period.
Cons
  • Could feel too cushioned for runners who prefer a firmer feel
