I am a size M-L and I had to return and order this in a 2x in time for the medieval festival I wanted to attend. thankfully, I got the size down, a 2x was what I needed and it was greatly appreciated when it arrived and fit perfectly. It does not stretch but does have the lace-up in the back to help size it to your body preference. Because it is a stiff bodice don't expect sitting down to be fully comfortable. I wanted my bustier to be fitted for a reason. I will say the hardest part was getting the clasp on for me! I've attached photos so you can get an idea of how it fit my body type. I would order again but definitely at least a month and a half in advance to get the right sizing for sure just incase there's another mix up on sizes
