I bought the HD version of the BluDento range so my Moto G6 and Android 8.0 can connect with the latest Bluetooth protocol. But this more expensive BluDento only connects via aptX. To be clear, I need to connect at 48kHz/24bit, but I am negotiating up to 44.1kHz/16bit. While it's not the end of the world, I paid more to get more. It sounds good enough, and with today's streaming services, it's hard to tell the difference. aptx is fine. My goal was to "future proof" this device so that my Bluetooth connection wouldn't be the weak link in the years to come when everything is transmitted with high fidelity. I will not be sending it back and going through all the hassle for the $20 difference between this and a cheaper model. But until I can connect to a higher rated aptX HD I'll tell anyone who will listen that the value proposition sucks here. I recommend buying a cheaper model to get what you pay for. Oh I tried contacting the manufacturer and it was a waste of time. I will update this review if anything positive comes up. Meanwhile, let the buyer beware.
