This diamond stone was shipped quickly, the quality was good! I checked both sides for flatness and they were up. I needed a large diamond stone with a finished surface, one rough side and one fine side, to mount hand planer knives and chisels. The rough side cuts fairly quickly and the thin side sets the blade up perfectly for a nice sharp edge to either go straight to the hone or to further sharpen on a thinner stone depending on your experience or choice. I'm still fairly new to hand tool sharpening but still very picky and I like sharp tools and I use a magnifying LED work light to really see the edge of the blade and the end result after using the page with 1000's Grit is an edge ready to be dressed to my liking just because after a short while your tool will probably dull down to around 600 grit in my opinion and experience. In other words, it was definitely worth the money.
