My 3 1/2 year old would always tremble while sitting on the pools ledge waiting his turn during swim class. There are usually 4 kids in his group. The pool is heated, but still, when you are sitting there on the edge of the pool waiting 5 minutes for your turn, that water is going to start evaporating and you are going to get cold. Maybe not so much adults, but definitely toddlers who cannot tolerate cold/hot extremes as good as adults can. So I go this him this wet suit. He is a tall 3 1/2 year old and athletic.not chubby at all. It's a tad bit loose on some area's, but overall it fits his height very well and he will grow into this and enjoy it for at least 1-2 years more. Very happy with the quality and fit ! Oh.and we got the size 4
