The monitor looks good. It has some red accents but they look great with black. The screen is large and curved, which is always a nice bonus. The penalties relate to performance. The 1080P picture on a 32-inch screen isn't as attractive as we'd like. This monitor doesn't show the beauty of many games I enjoy playing due to pixelation. Another problem is the color. Color settings are plentiful, but you probably won't find one that really looks good. To be fair, the image quality on this monitor is on par with a $175 curved 27-inch Samsung that wasn't designed for gaming (I compared it to my work monitor, which is also brand new). The refresh rate is okay for gaming, but I'd recommend spending another $100-$200 for something with 144Hz and a 4k image. EDIT: After less than 30 days of minimal use, the pixels are very noticeable. I would buy a more expensive monitor. Image quality has never been great, but has gotten worse. Doesn't look any better than a monitor made a decade or more ago - just curved and bigger. Buy from another company and do yourself a huge favor.
