I bought this item because it looked very nice and how it looks after installation. The cable connections on the back were easy enough to install as you can remove the pins, plug in the wires, tighten the screws and slide the pins back into the back of the unit, but you have to be careful when putting the unit back into the box or they could pull out. The sound is pretty good with the JBL 4 kit I put in the top so it's ok. As others have said you can't set sound effects like bass so it was a drop and you can't set a silly clock from 24 hour cycle to 12 hours is just plain ignorant for a simple task. The instructions are not good enough. I think going with the device should be much more than detailed for each task. The screen is the basic screen of the program and not Android. You would be better off using a version of Android that has Wi-Fi and allows you to run apps like Pandora directly from a phone and Bluetooth. It's easy to access, tap the screen, navigate to it and it's on. I plugged the speaker wire into this jack and went to the attic while I routed the wiring. Wrapped the end around an old metal hanger and hung it from the rafters while it picked up any channels you wanted from the start so everything was easy enough. I'll be installing a regular antenna soon, but take your time - just to note that you can use a computer with regular speaker wire for this task by connecting a different speaker wire. The FM selector is pretty odd. You get a band of frequencies on the screen that you have to tap the right or left arrow multiple times to move, which is silly. Why can't you just click on a certain spot on the screen to move the line and guess the channel or give me the number pad on the screen to enter it? That's why I'm giving 3 stars because for the money it should have been a lot bigger and easier to use. Anything less than 3 stars would be returned but it works and happy with the result. I will note that this is the only one of its kind that I have been able to find anywhere. There are other options from specific manufacturers, but they are very, very expensive. . I just don't get why the price of tablets is so low right now that someone can't develop an Android version to hang on the wall.
